Want healthy, happy fingers and palms?
Try this three-step hand care routine.
Has constant washing and use of hand sanitiser left your hands dry, cracked and rough? Washing your hands regularly with soap and water, while essential, can make your hands dry, which is why now’s the time to really look after your skin.
Here are three simple steps to help you look after your hands:
Exfoliate
Treat the skin on your hands like the skin on your face. Give them a weekly scrub with a nourishing sugar scrub. Mix coconut sugar, grapeseed oil and a dash of lemon juice together and rub all over your skin. Rinse. This step will ensure any soap build up gets washed away, while nourishing your dry skin with natural oils.
Apply a Mask
After you’ve exfoliated, apply a mask. You can use the same one you use on your face or make your own. Your pantry is the best source for ingredients if you want to make your own. Try mixing avocado, oats, honey, yoghurt or banana with some olive oil, grapeseed oil or avocado oil and slather on your hands then sit back and enjoy a cuppa and some quiet time at home.
Moisturise
Rinse the mask off and finish with a nutrient-rich hand oil. Still dry? Try using a rich night cream as a special treat for your hands.
