By simply adding a few extra ingredients our Vinofood fig, apple & chardonnay chutney makes a great base for these yummy fruit mince pies.
Christmas is just not the same without them!
Fruit Mince Pies
- 1 packet sweet shortcrust pastry ((Careme brand 435gm))
- 1 360gm Vinofood fig, apple & chardonnay chutney
- 60 grams glace cherries
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp brandy or whisky
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Mix all the ingredients together (except the pastry) and let sit for 1-2 days or more if possible to infuse the flavours.

Line a 12 hole muffin tin with pastry rounds (use a glass or cup to cut our shape).

Spoon the fruit mince into pastry case.

Using a 'star shape cutter' make 12 stars and put onto of the fruit mince.

Bake in 180°C for 20 minutes or until golden.
