Glazed Christmas Ham
This is a quick and easy way to have a ham that is both delicious and moist. By using an already cooked and smoked ham you save yourself over 2 hours of cooking time. More time to enjoy the day!
- 7 kg Smoked, cooked ham on the bone ((Shank end))
- 3/4 cup Vinofood spiced orange & riesling syrup
- 1/2 cup Vinofood seeded chardonnay mustard
- 100 gm Brown sugar
- 20 each Whole cloves

Pre-heat oven to 180°C

Remove skin from ham and discard. Score fat in a diamond pattern

Place the whole cloves in the scored fat

Put the ham in a large baking dish lined with baking paper

Mix together the spiced orange & rielsing syrup, seeded chardonnay mustard and sugar to combine

Spread ⅓ of syrup mixture over the ham and put into the oven

Cook for approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown, re-basting with the syrup mixture every 15-20 minutes (depending on your oven)

Let rest for 20-30 minutes then slice and serve
